Executive Director, The Learning Disabilities Association of America

"LDA is a grassroots national organization and we are committed to helping individuals with learning disabilities get the best opportunities for themselves, and helping their families through support, education, and advocacy. I got involved with the organization about two years ago. First and foremost, I am a parent of a young adult with learning and attention issues. I'm also an attorney and have worked in the public school system helping students who struggle in math. I have a real passion for students with learning and attention issues, whether that's learning disability, ADHD, executive function disorders. Because these students, they're smart and they're talented, and they have a lot of strengths, but a lot of times they don't have the right support in place so they haven't been properly identified."
